Amy’s best-laid plans to pursue a career using her degrees in French and Russian were sidetracked when she picked up bass guitar, joined a band and met Joe, a drummer. After graduating college the two got married, ran a drum store, moved to Seattle and played with a few bands while Amy worked as a veterinary assistant and barista. After a few years the duo moved to Joe’s family farm in central Missouri where they formed two-piece rock band Clatter.
When they aren’t touring, Amy and Joe are tending their large household of cats and dogs and the 125 acres they converted to a wildlife preserve by planting native prairie grasses and over 7,000 trees. Latest obsessions include amphibian photography and crochet.
